i am back!

Hi Everyone,

It's been over a year  since I updated and so much has happened. I promise I will try to update more . I really want to write what is going on,so then one day when i get my bfp I can see all the progress I made. So  with no further ado my update.

After  3 tries of clomid with no luck  the physician assistant  told me they do not do more then 150mg of clomid . She then proceeded to tell me I would need to go to a fertility clinic. She handed over the  pamphlet with info on the clinic. It's funny because my husband was looking up that same one.  I like it because it's close by and after they done everything they can that's where they send their patients.

After our vacation in June we decided to go to the clinic.  When I 1st went I'll admit I felt very sketchy about it,but after meeting the  reproduction endocrinologist Dr. I felt better. She is really nice and is very confident the treatment we are doing is going to work.  Right away she said we should not do clomid because it didn't work so why continue it if it's not doing it job. We both came to a agreement that I would do femera aka Letrozole.  She wanted to start me on a higher does 7.5  which I admit I was a little apprehensive at first.  She also suggested doing a HCG test to check my uterus and if my tubes are cleared . We also had my husband tested. So before my next cycle my husband did his thing in a couple and sent it off. Another test I did was to check to see if I am pre diabetic or if I was insulin resistant.

Meanwhile while we were waiting on our test results I also got my Hcg test. Let me tell you that it hurts like no tomorrow. I made the nurse laugh. I said How am I going to have a baby when I can't even handle this? She said "Oh don't worry they have drugs for that". Haha! Thankfully my uterus was normal shape and my tubes are clear.



When aunt flow arrived I called in my clinic and we went in the next day. She did the ultrasound and saw my 1 follicle  and that my uterus was getting ready. We went and picked up the femera and I took it cycle 3-7. The next week we went and saw that my follicle was almost ready . We also went over the test results and it turned out my sperm count,morphology was a bit low,but they were also able to boost it. The Dr. asked if we wanted to the IUI and we told her yes. They gave my husband the cup and he did his thing and I went in to do my 1st IUI.

I was super nervous ,but it wasn't so bad as I thought. I went in and gave them my husband his sample and they did the sperm washing. It took a hr ,but I decided to wait. When it was done  I got called in and she explained to me that it was like a pap. The Dr. explained what she was doing and after it was done,she wished me luck. I  then went home and started the dreaded two week wait . Well two weeks came and Aunt Flow showed her ugly head.

I called the office and went in cycle day 2. When we went in the Dr. explained how there is a 15%-20% chance every time.  I asked her is there anything we can do to get ore follicles. She said that after this cycle if we start to get desperate we can talk about inject ables. For the mean time she increased my dosage to 10mg of femera which is the highest dosage. I took it for 5 days . Went back in the week after and everything seemed good. Then I went back 2 days later and did IUI #2. Went threw that dreaded two week wait and again aunt flow came.Which brings you to my recent cycle I am which I am going to be updating in my next post. Hope all you all are doing well.
