Dr Responce

Hello lovies,

I got a email back from my dr yesterday and this is what she said.

Hi Maria, You have polycystic ovary syndrome. Your ovaries have many little cyst that is altering how your ovaries ar functioning. These are multiple cysts and are not individual cysts that we can treat and/or remove. There are procedures that can be done that will improve the ovarian function. But they are saved for those who are unable to acheive pregnancy with clomid or other fertility medications. This procedure is done by a fertility specialist.
Yaz is a birthcontrol pill. If you are trying to get pregnant, Yaz is not a good option because it will prevent pregnancy. Yaz is good to help regulate periods when the patient is not trying to get pregnant. Taking the Glumetza is a good idea, it may help regulate your period as we previously discussed. It may even help you ovulate on your own. I can send the prescription for both to your pharmacy in paramus. You will take the provera first for 10 days to start your period. After the 10 days you can start the glumetza. Take 1 tablet daily the first week. The second week take 1 tablet two times a day. After that take 1 tablet 3 times a day. Please let me know if you want me to send the prescription.

If you choose to do glumetza, I would still recommend weight loss. The combination of both are good for ovulation.
Once again, If you want regular periods Yaz is an option, but will prevent pregnancy. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

So basically she is saying that just because one relatives has cyst doesn't mean they are the same. The birth control would not be helpful since I want to get pregnant. So I picked up my provera and my glumetza. I am going to take it while on vacation. I may take it day 2 of vacation, so then the time we get back af should show up.

Again I am not going to get my hopes up,but I do pray that it works and I do get af regularly and I finally ovulate. I really would love to get a BFP by the end of this year.

Test Results & My Decision on what is best

Hello Lovies,

The last post I mentioned getting tests done and going to my acupuncturist. Since the last post I got my test results back. Here is what she tested me for.

CORTISOL SERUM
Received -BioChemNormal
05/29/2012DHEA-SULFATEReceived -BioChemHigh
05/29/2012FREE T4Received -BioChemNormal
05/29/2012TSH, 3rd GENERATIONReceived -BioChemNormal
05/29/2012HCG total (beta)Received -BioChemNegative
05/29/2012HEMOGLOBIN A1CReceived -BioChemNormal
05/29/2012FSH/LH/PROLACTIN/PROGESTEReceived -BioChemNormal
05/29/2012THIN PREP W/REFLEX

So as you can see everything is normal expect my DHEA. I was a little concerned, but my gyno didn't and neither did my acupuncturist and my chiropractor. My chiropractor said it sounds like a start of a adrenal problem. They never have said anything about that before. When I read up on DHEA ,it freaked me out. I called my doctor and he was looking to look at me and call me back. Then I remembered I am going to see him on Monday so it's no big deal if I don't hear back from him.

My gyno and I were talking and she said it's up to jesse and I if I want to take the provera and glumetza. I mean I have been doing this natural thing for 4 months and I don't see anything happening. I was also taking to a family member who is a nurse and also has irregular periods. She said that she is taking birth control to help with her periods.  She said if I went  back on birth control and did it for however many months the gyno wanted on me and then stopped, I could start to  have my periods regular and ovulate.  So I came to the conclusion that I am going to do medicated cycles and pray that works. I am still going to take my vitamins that won't bother glumetza. I emailed my dr and I am still awaiting a answer.  I was hoping to start my prover maybe near the end of mine and my husbands vacation so then when we get back I should be almost done and then hopefully af would show up and then maybe i'd ovulate. I will update when I hear from my gyno.

March ,April, May Update!

Hi Everyone,

I am sooo sorry I haven't posted in awhile. This will probably be a long update so please bare with me. So I got af in March naturally . Since then she hasn't shown up. No I am not pregnant. I took a test and got a  BFN! I was praying that was the reason ,but nope aunt flo is being stubborn!! Since then I got a ultra sound to see how bad my cyst were. I have small ones, but I am not going to lose hope. I also have been going to my trainer except these past 2 weeks. The 1st week  I didn't go was because when I was training, I had to run up 4 flights up steps. When I got to the landing ,I had to use my kettle bell. I must of pulled something. I did it 2 times and  after doing it the 2nd time I got soooooo sick ,I thought I was going to puke.  I also tried doing it myself ,but must of pulled something.

I have started using my chiropractor again. I am doing Acupuncture and I also heard getting adjusted helps too. I am willing to try anything natural.  I also saw my gynecologist for my yearly check up. She said everything seems to be good. We talked and have a plan. If my husband and I don't get pregnant on my own  by September,  we will go back and try provera to get my period and try clomid to see if I ovulate.  I am still going to try to lose weight as best as I can. She said that if i do fall pregnant ,then the most i should gain the most is 15 pounds . I will do anything to get my BFP at this point. I really hope we can achieve to get pregnant and maintain a healthy pregnancy by the end of the year.

I promise that next week when I get my acupuncture  done I will do a update on how I am feeling and how I am doing with my weight loss journey. Until next time lovies!!

The Gym, Dr Results

Hi everyone, sorry it's been so long. Here is my update =) I have been going to the gym 4-5 times a day. I have been doing different classes so I don't get bored. I have been doing Yoga and water aerobics for now. I really want to do Zumba ,but I need to go when they have it on a late night. I am also work with a trainer. Her name is Tara and she is a really nice girl. I told her I need someone who will be up my butt . Which is why I think scott (who is in charge) picked her for me. I have so far lost 3 pounds. I am trying to back to the way i was when I was a senior in hs. I'd go 4 or 5 times and I watch what I was eating. I just need to keep telling myself if I want a baby ,I need to lose the weight and eat better. It just still amazes me how I let myself gain all this weight. I feel like the vitamins are really working. I got a call back from my doctors office and the nurse said everything looked good. I don't know if that's all she is allowed to say,but I praying she is right. She said my insulin levels were good and that my cholesterol was mild . I know that can be tricky to get down ,but I have faith i'll be able to get it down soon. I also have to go get a ultrasound down next month to see if I have cyst on my overies. I am praying it isn't so bad. If my corrections are right AF should be here in 2 days, but so far I have no signs of her. If I don't get her I am going to have to ask my naturopath what we should do to get her back asap. That's my next big concerned.
